Stay Awhile

Tariff

Prices are per room, per night, including continental breakfast buffet. There is a discount for single occupancy of a double room. The prices shown are for high season (July & August); discounts apply at other times so please type your chosen dates into our availability calendar to see exact prices for your stay.

Evening meal is available, if booked in advance, at £20 per head. It is a set menu so you will need to let us know in advance of any special dietary requirements.

Our self-catering apartment, the First Officers’ Quarters, is let on a weekly basis with a Saturday changeover. The First Officers’ Quarters is let exclusively by Unique Cottages and you can enquire and book online through their website or click on the button below.

Terms & Conditions

Our B&B cancellation policy is simple; we take full payment on booking and if you cancel, we will refund your money if we can re-let your room.

We prefer to keep the B&B at Rua Reidh as a quiet, tranquil retreat for adults. Well behaved children are welcome in the self-catering apartment and quiet, mature teenagers may be permitted in the B&B by prior arrangement.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Guests who are not dog owners are asked to note that if you dislike dogs or you are allergic to them you might prefer to stay elsewhere as we allow dogs in all our rooms and we have a dog ourselves.

Our minimum booking in the B&B is two nights. Occasionally we have a single night free between other bookings and these are available to book on our calendar. We will also consider a single night booking if you phone us on the day itself.

Important information

The water from the taps at Rua Reidh is brown, which some guests find a bit disconcerting. It is from a private supply – the colour is due to the peaty soil here. It’s double filtered and UV treated and independently tested and verified as safe, and it also tastes great as there are no chemical additives.

There is no mobile phone signal at Rua Reidh – the nearest reliable signal is about 7 miles away on the road to Gairloch. We have a payphone available for guests if you need it.

We cannot provide wi-fi for guests, as the slow satellite broadband that we have for our own business use cannot cope with wi-fi. There is free wi-fi available at several hotels and cafes in Gairloch.

We have a television in our guest lounge but not in the bedrooms. The signal is not very reliable here, particularly when it’s windy, so the television may not be available. We have plenty of books that you are welcome to borrow.
