Eating and relaxing

Meals are served in our bright, airy conservatory, and you can relax in our cosy guest lounge.
Our legendary continental breakfast buffet is included in your room price. We don’t offer the boring ‘full Scottish cooked’ that you get in nearly every B&B and hotel in the Highlands. Instead, our breakfast buffet is full of home-made and locally sourced items and includes fresh bread baked overnight, home-made preserves, Highland cheeses and cured meats, home-made pastries, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, traditional porridge and eggs.

Chunky home-made sandwiches for your lunch are available to order, enjoy them in the conservatory or take out with you for a picnic.

Each evening at 7pm we offer an informal two-course meal of delicious home cooking. We have a daily set menu of a hearty main course (choose between meat or vegetarian/vegan) served with salad or vegetables and locally-made speciality bread, followed by an indulgent home-made dessert. We don’t have a licence to sell alcohol, but you are very welcome to bring your own.

If you would like to eat out, there are some excellent local restaurants and we can make recommendations and book for you. The nearest restaurant is a good half-hour’s drive away, so you need to plan ahead!

Unlimited complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, herbal tea and home-made shortbread is available at all times in our conservatory.

We have a comfortable guest lounge with plenty of books to read. You are very welcome to use the lounge and conservatory at any time during your stay.

Guests can enjoy our private viewing hide which is well-equipped with binoculars and telescopes and wildlife-spotting information. When the weather’s nice, we have some beautiful carved benches in the courtyard where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine!
