Whooper swans and barnacle geese

It’s that time of year … swans and geese flying south for the winter, and lots of them pass us here on the peninsula. Today we’ve seen around 600 barnacle geese and a small flock of whooper swans. As lovely as the sight is the beautiful evocative noise they make as they fly. Photo is from wikipedia.
